Other IRB Approval

If the organization where you are conducting your activity has its own IRB (or similar committee), typically, you will seek their approval prior to submitting to the IRB at USU. If this situation applies to you, it is important to investigate this as soon as possible because turnaround times for IRBs vary and because you cannot begin your activity without appropriate approvals, it is important to be proactive to prevent unnecessary delays. Determine required approvals early; it is your responsibility to determine if there is IRB oversight at your project site.
