Policy: The Faculty Senate is a deliberative body composed of elected faculty representatives that provides the voice of the collective faculty in matters of concern to them and serves as an effective means by which the faculty can contribute to the governance of the University.

Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to define and describe faculty representation within University Governance by appointing faculty senators.

Scope: The scope of this policy applies to all current faculty: i.e., adjunct, full-time, part-time.
