General Doctoral Admissions

  • Complete and submit an application for admission.
  • Applicants must submit their official transcripts from the Master's degree-awarding institution, and any post-bachelor degree institution(s); Programs with graduate prerequisites require official transcripts from the originating institution(s). Foreign transcripts must be evaluated and translated, if applicable, by an acceptable evaluating agency.
    • A member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
    • A member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE)
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Meet all program specific entrance requirements. See program specific admissions requirements.
  • Complete an Enrollment Agreement.
  • Effective 03/01/2025, United States University will begin collecting government-issued photo IDs as part of its admission process. This protects the university and the applicant from potential fraud (verifying their identity), so all applicants must submit their government-issued photo ID. Failure to provide a government-issued ID in a timely manner will result in your application being rejected or delayed for admission. Below is a list of acceptable government-issued IDs:
    • State-issued driver’s license, identification license, or instruction permit (front and back)
    • U.S. Passport or passport card
    • U.S. permanent resident card
    • Tribal ID
