Criteria for Selection of Cooperating Teachers
Cooperating Teachers should have a minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
Cooperating Teachers must hold the appropriate, clear credential required to mentor a teacher credential candidate.
Cooperating Teachers should willingly choose to accept the responsibilities of working with a teacher credential candidate.
Cooperating Teachers are required to attend an online training offered through the County Office of Education, San Diego the first time they are assigned a student teacher. All costs for the workshop will be paid by USU.
