Late Submission Policy
Teacher Interns who do not submit the edTPA by the end of the INT503 course must repeat the course until it is submitted and risk a delay in the processing of their credentials.
That stated, there are several valid reasons why a Teacher Intern might need to delay their edTPA submission. These reasons include but are not limited to:
- Family emergency
- Medical emergency (substantiated by a doctor’s notice)
- Need for learner accommodations - an Authorized Academic Accommodations form needs to be provided to the University Supervisor and/or seminar instructor outlining the required accommodations prior to the deadline)
- School site issues beyond the control of the Teacher Intern
In these cases, Teacher Interns must make a written request to the Program Director, COE for an extension prior to the deadline. Approval for the extension will be provided in writing.
