Chapter 3- Faculty - Hiring

3.1 Overview
This Handbook addresses only those elements of the hiring process unique to faculty. For additional rights and responsibilities, see the Employee Handbook.
Program Deans and/or Leads are responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring faculty to teach in their respective programs. Once an applicant is selected for hire, their resume/CV is sent to Human Resources or designee to initiate the new hire onboarding process. Human Resources or designee will work with the new hire to complete all the required paperwork for the faculty position. Once the paperwork is completed and a clear background check is received, Human Resources or designee will provide the new hire with a University Gmail account and access to the learning management system, containing the Faculty Orientation course and FERPA training quiz. Faculty must complete the Faculty Orientation course and successfully pass the FERPA training before teaching any United States University courses.
