3-2 Official Transcripts and Work Eligibility Verification Requirements for Faculty

Employment as Faculty is contingent upon receipt of all required documents, including official transcripts. An official transcript is defined as a transcript bearing the Registrar’s seal and sent directly from the issuing institution to the Human Resources Department of United States University. These transcripts must be on file with the University before the first day of class.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 prohibits United States University from knowingly employing any person who is not legally authorized to work in the United States. As a condition of every employment offer, each person hired by the university must present acceptable proof of identity and authorization to work within three(3) days of hire. Legally permissible documentation will be specified when an offer of employment is made or can be viewed on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s website or the Form I-9. If acceptable proof of identity and authorization to work is not presented within three (3) working days, the offer of employment will be revoked, and employment may be terminated. Online faculty will receive an electronic onboarding packet with instructions for completing. All forms should be signed and returned to Human Resources before receiving University accounts and Orientation access.
By law, the University is responsible for maintaining these records, periodically reviewing or re-checking the accuracy or veracity of these records or documentation, or showing them to the appropriate authorities when legally required to do so.
