Academic and Student Services Policies
The Student Services Department consists of Academic and International Student Advisors. Student Services works with every student to orient them to the University and understand policy and procedures. Among other services, advisors assist our students to develop and accomplish academic goals, utilize and access student success resources, may assist with faculty outreach, registration questions, and tutoring services.
All Academic Policies and Student Services may be found in the University Catalog. Students must become familiar with all academic policies and review them to ensure they are being followed. This handbook is to serve as a supplement to the Catalog with specific information related to F-1 status students.
As an international student at USU, you are expected to conduct yourself in a respectful, professional, and courteous manner in all interactions with members of the University community. This expectation applies to all forms of communication, including in-person conversations, classroom discussions, meetings, practicum or internship sites, email, and other electronic communications. If you fail to meet the standards outlined in the University's Code of Conduct, you may be referred to the Code of Conduct Committee for review and, when appropriate, disciplinary action.
