Student Teaching Requirements

All documents must be provided no less than six weeks prior Clinical Practice coursework/student teaching:
- Valid certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- All courses completed with a cumulative 3.0 GPA (ending grades for the final course before student teaching)
- Passing RICA scores (for Multiple Subject Candidates only )- please note scores may take 6 weeks to be returned
- Verification of Subject Matter Requirements- Met by course analysis, degree match or Passing CSET scores- please note CSET scores may take 6 weeks to be returned
- Certificate of Clearance (from the CTC) -
- Verification of Basic Skills Requirement (BSR`41)
- US History/Constitution Course or exam
- TB test clearance
- Bilingual Credential Candidates must also pass the CSET- Spanish exam
Students who have not met the requirement to submit all documents six weeks prior to student teaching will be postponed for student teaching until the following term or next available placement and will only be placed if all documents are submitted and current.
