Teaching in Bilingual Classrooms

Interns assigned to a bilingual setting must be enrolled in a Commission-approved Bilingual Authorization program or otherwise be earning the Bilingual Authorization as part of their credential program. The Bilingual Authorization is in Spanish only, at USU, and consists of the following courses:

  • EDU522 First and Second Language Acquisition
  • EDU580 Bilingualism, Biliteracy, and Immersion
  • EDU581 Spanish Language Methods
