Policy: An official withdrawal occurs when a student notifies the Student Services Department that they no longer wish to attend courses and want to withdraw from the University. Students should to speak with their Academic Advisor to discuss the withdrawal process. Students who do not officially withdraw from the University may be administratively withdrawn.

Administrative Withdrawal

An administrative withdrawal occurs when the institution determines the student should be withdrawn from the University. Administrative Withdrawal can occur for a number of reasons including:

  • Failure to comply with the University’s attendance policy; 

  • Failure to maintain satisfactory academic progress;

  • Failure to comply with the University’s student conduct policy;

  • Failure to meet financial obligations to the University;

  • Violation of any of the conditions as set forth and agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement.

Purpose: The purpose of the withdrawal policy is to identify student's last date to withdraw from the university without any impact to cumulative grade point average, understand the difference between an official and unofficial (administrative) withdrawal.

Scope: This policy applies to all university employees and current students.
