Policy: USU is committed to a positive workplace environment in which employees are respectful of each other and our students. USU expressly prohibits discrimination, harassment, and retaliation by employees, students, contractors, or agents of the university based on any protected status: race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identify, genetic information and Title IX sexual harassment. 

Inappropriate conduct need not rise to the level of a violation of federal or state law to constitute a violation of this policy and to warrant disciplinary action/sanctions. 

Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to establish a commitment by the university to diversity, equity, and inclusion without discrimination. 

Scope: This policy applies to all university employees, students, contractors, or agents of the university.
