Pre-Service Requirements

Prior to intern eligibility, candidates have a pre-service requirement that includes 120 hours of pre-service time through the following 6 semester units of coursework and the fieldwork components within each course.

1. EDU525 English Language Developmental Strategies for English Learners
2. EDU504 Introduction to Special Education

Candidates find their own employment and complete an additional intern application with the College of Education and with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Internships may be completed only in public school districts with which the program has a current internship agreement.
