Supervised Internship Teaching

Unlike a traditional student teaching experience, the teacher intern has full control of the class and is the Teacher of Record. This is because the teacher intern is prepared and ready to teach and manage the classroom on their own. Candidates should confer regularly with the Site Supervisor and USU Supervisor regarding their teaching and the progress of the students.

Conferences with Site Supervisor and USU Supervisor are essential to the professional growth of credential teacher candidates. USU Supervisors meet with candidates after each observation and evaluation. USU Supervisors conduct two observations per term and one formal evaluation. Site Supervisors also observe and complete evaluations on the same lessons as the USU Supervisors.
